KIDPOWER - TEENPOWER - FULLPOWER of Montreal
Kidpower – Teenpower – Fullpower Foundation of Montreal is the Quebec Center of Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower International™, though we are most often just called Kidpower Montreal or Pleins Pouvoirs in French.
Today, Kidpower is a growing charitable educational international organization with representatives in many countries and regions. Worldwide, we have served over 3.2 million children, teens, adults, seniors and people with special needs, with over 30 centers, and local offices in 16 countries across 5 continents.
In the greater Montreal, these numbers translate to over 100,000 individuals through direct service to them and indirect service (training of caregivers and professionals).
Our work with children, teens, adults and seniors is endorsed by law enforcement and health professionals, parents and teachers, and other concerned people.
Our mission is to help people of all ages and abilities learn how to stay safe, act wisely, and believe in themselves. We are committed to providing high quality services to those most in need. We teach People Safety Skills including personal safety, relationship safety, boundary-setting, self protection, self confidence, self-defense and advocacy through workshops that emphasize success-based practice.
Our goal is to offer high quality services that are tailored to fit the needs of people of different ages and life situations. We believe that people learn best by doing, and all of our programs give our students the opportunity for upbeat, realistic practice of People Safety skills in contexts relevant to their daily lives. These skills can prevent most bullying, molestation, assault, abduction, and exploitation. The Kidpower success-based method of teaching helps build our students' beliefs that they are valuable, powerful, and competent.
